I Asked God Hard Questions and He Didn't Flinch

I grew up in a Hindu household. Coming to faith in Jesus my sophomore year didn't just change my beliefs — it reshuffled my entire identity, my family dynamics, my sense of belonging. And honestly? It raised more questions than it answered. Why does a good God allow suffering? Why does prayer sometimes feel like shouting into a ceiling? Is doubt a sin or just honesty? I brought all of it to my Lead with Light small group expecting polished answers. Instead I found people willing to sit with the questions alongside me. Our leader, Coach Trey, told me something I think about constantly: "Doubt isn't the opposite of faith. Certainty is." I'm still working through a lot. But I've stopped being afraid of my questions. The God I'm getting to know seems big enough to handle them.
